Canadian Artist Profile
For this assignment you will be highlighting the contributions of a notable Canadian artist. It need not be someone who specializes in visual arts - it can be ANY kind of artist: musician, poet, dancer, and so on... .
You will be creating a one page bio-flyer on the artist.
The page must include (suggested order):
Artist's name
Picture of the artist

* What it looks like*
* How deep it is
* How thick it is
- You also must put at least 5 "Did You Know" type facts on the poster

Using page 24 as a starting point, explain EACH type of mountain. For each, give an example FROM CANADA, with a picture
Landforms!!
Take a look at page 26 in your textbook.
In the "Apply and Extend" section, number 2 lists a variety of LANDFORMS.
Create a document that neatly labels and organizes pictures of EACH of the landforms listed. They don't need to be from Canada but it'd be really great if they were!
You might consider doing a 'table' sort of organization... Like THIS: /uploads/1/3/5/9/13599766/landforms.docx
MOUNTAINS QUIZ!!
For this assignment you will be creating a 15-question fill in the blanks type quiz that uses vocabulary and concepts we have learned about MOUNTAINS

- Number your questions
- You are allowed only ONE vocabulary work or concept per question
- Remember to ANSWER your questions (put the answer in (parentheses) at the end of the question
- Remember to put your NAME on your quiz.

SOCIAL STUDIES 7 - FINAL THOUGHT
For this assignment you need to think about all of the things we've talked about - all the choices people made in our history and how those choices affected what our country looks like today.
You will create a one-page project called "What Would Canada Be Like If..."
You will pick 5 MAJOR events in Canadian history and imagine what COULD have happened if the choice was made differently. For example, you might put something like:
"What would Canada be like...
- if John A. MacDonald hadn't convinced the colonies to join in Confederation?
* we might still be a British colony, with our leader being the Queen, and..."
You must have IMAGES to accompany - maybe not one for each, but at least a couple, to cover the white space, and to show you've thought about what things COULD be like. You can find images, draw them, or whatever...
You have one class to complete this... Get at it!
